NYC Winter Events Rundown

With bikini season still but a far off blip on the horizon, now is the perfect time to indulge in one of the many wonderful food and drink events happening around the city.

Here is our short list of the tastiest events happening this winter, sure to cure your winter blues, your hunger… and your sobriety.

Brooklyn Night Bazaar
Every Friday and Saturday Night
While there is plenty of shopping to do at this indoor market plus live concert, the food and drink stalls are the stars of the show. With vendors like Luke’s Lobster, Van Leuwen Ice Cream, Briskettown, Brooklyn Winery and more, it’s a perfect way to visit some of the city’s best eateries in one warm, heated and snow-less space.

The 4th Annual Good Spirits
February 13
This yearly event, presented by Edible Manhattan, is essentially all of your favorite food and drink vendors getting together to have one big party. The impressive list of attendees includes local favorites like Long Island Spirits, Hudson Whiskey, and Fletcher’s Brooklyn Barbeque.  A good thing about this event being held this month is that with weather like we’ve been having, being stuck on the couch with a hangover isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

NYC Craft Beer Festival
February 28- March 2
A beer-lovers paradise! Each participant is given a tasting glass and permitted to sample unlimited 2-ounce tastings from over 150 craft beer vendors. 150 times 2-ounces equals… well… a whole lot of tasty micro beers. Expect to see beers from Left Hand, Great South Bay Brewery, Ommegang, and my favorite, Nantucket’s Cisco Brewery.

Vegetarian Food Festival
March 1-2
Vegetarians have been getting the short end of the stick lately with so many menus trending towards meat-heavy dishes.  Fortunately for these forgotten herbivores, head-to-tail makes way for leaf-to-root at this annual festival celebrating all things veg.
